Data-Verse Taipei takes Taipei, the location of the exhibition, as the theme and captures enormous amounts of network data with local characteristics of Taipei as the parameters, such as the rainfall, temperature, network phenomenon in Taipei, venue Wifi traffic, and other information, and uses these Data to control the appearance or the dynamics of the 3D model objects: the computer generates images in real time, continuously producing a virtual landscape that combines Taiwan/Taipei based on Internet Data. Immersing the audience in it, our bodies are covered by the virtual image, reproducing the online world experience, close at hand, but so complex that all seems unfamiliar. Audiences can also directly interact and interfere with the mechanisms of the work through the QR code in the image and subsequently get a real-time generated images exclusively for them.
